Wir fahren hinein und gehen vor Anker. Die Stille im Fjord, die beson­dere Licht­stim­mung und das kalte Zusam­men­tr­e­f­fen von Fluss- und Meer­wass­er schaf­fen einen Moment, den unsere Gäste immer wieder als uner­warteten Höhep­unkt des Tages beze­ich­nen. Amal­fi am späten Nach­mit­tag, vom Meer aus anges­teuert, mit dem Cam­panile der Kathe­drale, der über den Däch­ern des Hafens auf­taucht. Zwei Stun­den in ein­er Stadt, die drei Jahrhun­derte lang die mächtig­ste Seere­pub­lik im west­lichen Mit­telmeer war. Die Rück­fahrt nach Sor­rent fol­gt der Küste zur Gold­e­nen Stunde — genau in dem Licht, für das dieser Küsten­ab­schnitt geschaf­fen scheint.

Our skip­per nav­i­gates inside and anchors for swim­ming and pho­tog­ra­phy — it is one of the stops that con­sis­tent­ly pro­duces the most sur­prised reac­tions from our guests.
